Founding Team

Alexander Dreischuh

Co-CEO

Alexander is responsible for Strategy, Business Development, M&A, Advertising, Content, and Finance at Alpi Investment. Before founding Alpi Investment together with Ivaylo, Alex worked for 8 years at the Boston Consulting Group. At BCG he was part of the Leadership Team of the Insurance and the Operations Practices. Before joining BCG, Alex gained experience in Asset Management, Portfolio Management, and Risk at Allianz Global Investors and Allianz Real Estate. Alex holds a Diploma degree (magna cum laude) in Business Engineering from the Technical University Munich (TUM) and Executive Education from Stanford Graduate School of Business (SGSB).

Ivaylo Daskalov

Co-CEO

Ivaylo is responsible for Operations, Procurement, Sales, Regulatory Compliance, and HR at Alpi Investment. Before founding Alpi Investment together with Alex, Ivaylo worked as a commercial aviation pilot for 6 years at Asiana Airlines in Seoul, South Korea, as well as for various other airlines in Europe and Asia. Previously Ivaylo founded and successfully managed a Marketing agency. Ivaylo holds a commercial aviation license graduated from the RWL German Flight Academy in Mönchengladbach, a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from NBU Sofia, and Executive Education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management.

Dr. Plamen Petrov

Plamen is an experienced Digital Transformation Executive, having served at Amazon as Country Manager Book in Germany and previously as Head of Kindle Content. Before joining Amazon, he worked for almost a decade at the Boston Consulting Group, where he was part of the Leadership team of the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Practice. Plamen holds a Ph.D. in Collective Intelligence from the University of Bremen and a master’s degree from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

Niya Vassileva

Niya is a Founder & CEO at Digital Insights Hub - a data-driven digital analytics agency, partnering with SimilarWeb. Before starting DIH, Niya was a Manager at Accenture London, focusing on eCommerce and large digital transformations for Europe’s leading Retailers. Niya holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lancaster University.

Smilen Hadzhikostov

Smilen is an International Expansion Lead at MAYD - Europe's leading telepharmacy platform. Before joining MAYD, he was a founding member and early employee of two other Berlin-based startups - Wunderflats and XOM Materials. He brings experience in SaaS, VC, and Strategy. Smilen holds a master’s degree in Management from HEC Paris and a master’s degree in Public Policy. He is an Aspen Young Leaders and Included VC alumni. He is a mentor in Techstars and the Axel Springer and Porsche accelerator.
